Woman Charged After Gunfire Erupts at Rihanna’s Los Angeles Home

Rihanna narrowly escaped a terrifying incident after gunshots were fired at her luxury home in Los Angeles. Authorities have now charged a 35 year old woman with attempted murder following the shocking attack that unfolded while the singer and her family were inside the property.

A Frightening Afternoon at Rihanna’s Mansion

A woman identified as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, originally from Florida, has been formally charged after allegedly firing multiple rounds at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills–area home on March 8, 2026. According to prosecutors, the suspect fired around 10 shots toward the property using a semi-automatic rifle while the singer was inside.

At the time of the incident, Rihanna was reportedly at home with her partner A$AP Rocky, their three young children, and members of their family and staff. Fortunately, no one was injured, despite several bullets striking the property, including the front gate and nearby structures.

Police responded quickly to reports of gunfire and tracked the suspect’s vehicle. Ortiz was arrested about 30 minutes after the shooting in a nearby parking lot.

Serious Charges Filed

Prosecutors have charged Ortiz with one count of attempted murder, 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling. If convicted, she could face life in prison.

Authorities say the alleged attack appears to have been “willful, deliberate and premeditated,” according to court documents. Investigators are still trying to determine the suspect’s motive and whether she had any prior connection to the singer.

Ortiz is currently being held in custody on $1.8 million bail, and a protective order has been issued preventing her from contacting Rihanna or her family.
