Peller claims most dollar notes sprayed at wedding were counterfeit

Popular Nigerian content creator Peller has claimed that a large portion of the dollar bills sprayed on him during his recent wedding ceremony to fellow content creator Jarvis turned out to be counterfeit, a revelation that has sparked widespread reactions on social media.

Speaking during a livestream, Peller disclosed that he visited a bank after the wedding to exchange the dollar notes, only to discover that many of them were fake. The content creator said the discovery came as a major disappointment following the lavish celebration.

"I went to the bank after my wedding to change the dollars, and most of the money was fake," Peller said, expressing frustration over what he described as an unpleasant experience after the event.

According to him, not all the cash he received was counterfeit, noting that several guests genuinely gifted him authentic dollar notes. He added that he could easily identify those who presented him with real money, saying he knew the individuals who gave him genuine cash.

Peller questioned why anyone would choose to spray fake currency at a wedding, insisting that no one is under any obligation to spray money if they are unwilling or unable to do so genuinely. He described the act as unnecessary and disappointing.

His revelation has since generated intense debate online, with many social media users reacting to the claim and discussing the growing concern over counterfeit foreign currency being circulated at lavish celebrations and public events.
