Essuman Declares He Would Reject $1 Million Record Label Deal
Ghanaian musician Julian McCarthy popularyly known as Essuman has made it clear that he has no intention of signing to a record label, insisting that no financial offer, not even $1 million, would convince him to become part of one.
Speaking on Fan Mix, a programme on WatsUp TV hosted by MC Tokyo, the musician expressed his strong preference for remaining independent rather than pursuing a record label deal. His comments suggest that he is comfortable building his music career on his own terms.
Essuman’s statement came when the conversation touched on record labels and the possibility of securing a major deal. He firmly maintained that signing to a record label is not part of his plans, regardless of how attractive the financial package might be.
