Essuman Insists on 50-50 Deal Before Signing Any Record Label

Ghanaian musician Julian McCarthy popularyly known as Essuman has revealed the conditions under which he would consider signing to a record label, insisting that any potential deal must come with an equal 50-50 arrangement.

Speaking on Fan Mix on WatsUp TV, hosted by MC Tokyo, the musician made it clear that he would not compromise when it comes to negotiating a record label contract.

According to Essuman, any record label interested in signing him must be willing to offer an equal partnership. He stressed that anything short of a 50-50 deal would not be enough to convince him to put pen to paper.

The musician’s position highlights his desire to secure a fair partnership while protecting his interests as an artiste. Rather than rushing into a contract, Essuman appears determined to ensure that any agreement he enters into benefits both parties equally.

His comments add to the ongoing conversation about record label deals, artist ownership and fair revenue-sharing arrangements in the music industry. Essuman shared these views during his appearance on Fan Mix, as MC Tokyo engaged him in a discussion about his music career and the business side of the industry.
